To start us off, here is a little history of the very first official Seaford Football Club. Seaford Rovers.

SEAFORD ROVERS. 1882 – 1896

Captain Crook, a man involved in just about everything in Seaford during his time in our town, was a man that loved all sport. He and Mr. J. Bull became the President & Chairman of the Seaford Rovers.
The football team joined the Sussex County Football Association.
The Association arranged a yearly knockout competition called the Sussex Association Challenge Cup for all members to take part.
In 1886  the the Rovers took part in the Associations Junior Challenge Cup competition for the first time, and in 1888 after a replay, in the final, played at the County Cricket Ground Hove, against Burgess Hill. Seaford Rovers won the competition by two goals to nil.
Seaford Rovers were the first of our football clubs to win a trophy.
